Our story

The story of Timothy Aerts
— from elite sport to complete recovery

Some ideas aren’t born behind a desk, they grow on the field. In my case: the tennis court. For years, I lived in a world governed by precision, discipline, and performance. As a professional tennis player - former ATP 241 and number 4 in Belgium - my life revolved around training schedules, tournaments, travel, and a body that needed to deliver on command.

Sport gives you a lot, but it demands even more. Countless hours of practice, constant pressure, mental focus, and the never-ending pursuit of improvement. When I was younger, recovery simply meant a good night’s sleep and a quick stretch. But as the years passed, things began to change. Injuries surfaced more easily. Fatigue lingered longer. Stress worked its way in.

And suddenly, the limits I used to push without thinking became impossible to ignore. That was the turning point… and the start of my search.

Discovering recovery as a lifestyle

Every athlete eventually learns the same lesson: performance isn’t driven by training alone. True progress comes from a decent recovery. My introduction to cold therapy, heat therapy, and other science-based recovery methods transformed everything. What started as experimentation out of necessity quickly showed measurable results:

I recovered faster.
I slept deeper.
My energy returned.
My mental clarity improved.

It became clear that recovery isn’t optional, it’s essential. Not only for athletes, but for anyone dealing with daily stress, heavy workloads, or physical strain.

Recovery doesn’t begin after the effort. It begins before it

One of the biggest insights came later: preparation is part of recovery. A warm body, activated muscles, and increased circulation change how you move, perform, and feel. Tools like massage guns, heat therapy, mobility work, and pre-workout routines became part of my daily rhythm. The difference was undeniable.

And the more I learned, the more I realized: this knowledge should be accessible to everyone.

Not only to top athletes.
Not only to fitness lovers.
But to anyone who wants to feel better, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Wellness isn’t a luxury. It’s health

What began in sports expanded naturally into wellness. The deeper I explored, the more I understood how warmth, relaxation, and nervous-system balance impact the entire body. Small moments of recovery can change an entire day:

A 20-minute sauna session.
An ice bath after a long week.
Infrared heat before sleep.
Breathing exercises in the morning.

These became habits, and later, passions. But something kept bothering me: the market was full of products that were either too expensive, too complex, or not good enough. Why wasn’t there a reliable, accessible, high-quality option for people who simply wanted to feel better?

The answer was simple: I would build it myself: Revive+. That is my story. And I hope it becomes part of yours too.
